If
you are Considering using an AccuMix plant on your project, please familiarize
yourself with the following requirement. Understanding these requirements
is in your best interest and will ensure the smoothest possible
project.
Site Layout
Thorough consideration should be given to
selection of the plant site. Considerations include efficient path for
trucks to load from the front of the plant, room for ramp or conveyor to load
plant, proximity to stockpile, available corridor for product tankers and fuel
truck on side of plant, and routing of the incoming water line.
Site Preparation
In order to maintain accuracy in the plants
metering system and to avoid damage to the plant, it is crucial that the chosen
plant site meets certain standards and is properly prepared.
The plant site must be an
accessible compacted area at least 16’x43’ in size, leveled
to within ±
1”, and capable of supporting 325,000 pounds without
settling. This weight will be distributed through eight
support legs exerting 20,000 pounds per square
foot. The
site must have sufficient drainage to keep water from accumulating on it.
Special consideration should be given to ensuring the incoming water line
is completely free of leaks. If the optional auxilary silo is used
an addition 32'x16' area meeting the same criteria must be prepared.
Additional area in front of the plant and silo will also have to be
relatively level in order for the tractor to deliver it (see diag. below).
